Innovation Lab Directors

Wendy Ellyatt
The founder of the Flourish Project, Wendy, will bring to this Lab much that was learned from the three-year Galileo Worldviews Study that she has been co-leading, together with the previous three-year process of the ‘Our Shared Future’ global collaborative. The intention is to clarify and safeguard the core principles identified, and to carry them forward into contemporary systems, ensuring that innovation across education, governance, economics, media, and technology remains aligned with what sustains life rather than undermines it.

Dr Harriet Broadfoot
Harriet's research spans early childhood education, sustainability, global citizenship and holistic development, with a particular focus on creating the conditions that enable children, families and communities to thrive. She completed her ESRC-funded doctorate at Durham University, investigating compassion-enabling environments in early childhood education, and has published widely on compassion, resilience and well-being. Alongside her academic research, Harriet brings more than fifteen years of experience working with children and families across Montessori, nursery, school and community settings. As Project Director of the Flourish Nurture Lab, she leads the Lab's work to reimagine the earliest years of life as the foundation for lifelong flourishing, supporting educators, researchers, families and policymakers to create compassionate, relational and life-enhancing environments in which every child can realise their unique potential.
