Our vision is a world where every child can grow into their potential, every generation can contribute meaningfully, and human wellbeing develops alongside the wellbeing of the planet.

An ecology of belonging

We bring together researchers, educators, practitioners, communities and organisations to explore what enables life to flourish - and how this understanding can inform everyday practice and public decisions.

Our Ecosystemic Flourishing (ESF) Framework connects four interdependent domains: Natural Environment; Circular and Regenerative Economies; Cultural Values and Identity; and Human Capacities and Potential. Together, these offer a way to understand the whole context of people’s lives, from early childhood and family relationships to education, leadership, community life and the places we inhabit.

Bringing the vision to life

Our interconnected Living Labs create spaces for inquiry and collaboration across nurture, learning, leadership, cities, healing, peace, wisdom and legacy. They connect people working in different fields so that insights can become useful in the lives of others.

Our developing work includes:

Nurturing childhood and learning: supporting caring relationships, play, creativity, belonging and the inner lives of children and educators.

Helping places flourish: developing approaches to Child Friendly Cities and exploring how communities can nurture the ecological, cultural and relational life of their places.

Deepening understanding: exploring relational intelligence, human values, worldviews and our relationships with the more-than-human world.

Supporting compassionate leadership: creating opportunities to connect inner development with responsibility for others, future generations and the planet.

Sharing knowledge openly: making studies, guidance and practical resources available through the Flourish Commons.
